Plus, courses you take at GovState are transferrable to other institutions.*

School of Extended Learning

The School of Extended Learning (SXL) at Governors State University serves as the continuing education and workforce development center for the University.

GovState Online

GovState offers online and hybrid courses in almost every program area and field of study.

Important Information

● Non-degree seeking students are not eligible for financial aid. However, VA benefits may apply.

● Applicants who have not yet earned a bachelor's degree should apply as undergraduate non-degree seeking. Applicants who have earned a bachelor's degree must apply as graduate non-degree seeking.

● Non-degree seeking students may take no more than six (6) semester hours that can be used towards a GovState degree program. To continue enrollment, students must apply as a degree-seeking student and satisfy appropriate admission criteria.
