This major serves as a business capstone to the various applied science programs offered at the community colleges. It is intended to prepare you for careers that require both technical skills and business knowledge.
If you have completed an A.A.S. degree or a significant number of technical courses from a community college and are interested in continuing your education in business and management this is the ideal degree for you. Business coursework in the Business and Applied Science program is available in on campus or online formats.
An individual with a bachelor’s degree earns, on average, nearly $20,000 more per year than someone with an associate’s degree (Source: U.S. Census Bureau, Current Population Survey, 2010, Annual Social and Economic Supplement).
Convenience is key to a successful education in today’s world. Courses in this degree program are offered online and on campus, making it easy for you to complete a bachelor’s degree on your schedule.
Special Admissions Requirements
In addition to the university admissions criteria, applicants must have earned an associate of applied science degree in a technical major from a regionally-accredited institution of higher education. Students not meeting the admission requirement of an A.A.S. in an occupational program, but who have completed 24 or more hours in technical course work and have met other university admission criteria, may be considered for admission.
