Addiction Studies Alumni Club Scholarship

 

GSU's College of Health and Human Services' Addiction Studies and Behavioral Health Program present a series of subsidized training programs focused on peer recovery support /mentoring as part of a recovery-oriented system of care for individuals and families dealing with alcohol, substance use, and/or mental health disorders.

The Addiction Studies Alumni Club is committed to the field of recovery. The group holds workshops throughout the year to raise funds for a scholarship for Addiction Studies students.

Eligibility:

  • Graduate degree seeking students in the Addiction Studies program;
  • Must be in good academic standing;
  • Enrolled (or about to enroll) in a minimum of six credit hours.

Not Eligible:

  • Community Honors Scholars
  • Employees of the University, excluding students receiving financial aid or state funds

Documents Required:

  • Essay (500 words) discussing your career choice and your reasons for choosing that field.

Note: Award amounts may vary based on funding, availability, and addition, if any, to principal. Amount awarded shall not exceed tuition costs.
