  • Stop by the Student Activities Council (SAC) table to receive your lucky bamboo plant for good luck! Lucky bamboo is said to bring health, love, and luck to whoever possesses it.  Add a goal this semester so your new plant can be a reminder that you can achieve what you set your mind to! This event is open to all students and first come, first served. (Limited supplies)

  • Enjoy a snack and exclusive backstage tour of the Center for Performing Arts, one of Southland’s most vibrant cultural destinations. Each year, the Center for Performing Arts presents more than 50 performances offering diverse, high quality national touring acts, Chicago-based artists, community, and academic theater to more than 60,000 people. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to step on stage and get a behind the scenes look! Multiple tours will be offered.

  • Walgreens and Governors State will be offering the fall influenza (flu) vaccine along with the Pfizer COVID vaccine. Click here to make an appointment for the flu vaccine.
    While an appointment is preferred, walk-ins for flu are also welcome.

  • COVID vaccinations will be provided on a walk-in basis, no appointment needed.

After your first week of classes, enjoy a restful weekend visiting Chicago. Take a moment to explore all that beautiful Chicago has to offer via the Metra train, Saturday - Sunday! One complimentary ticket per student. Must reserve tickets online via Jaguar Connection by noon on 9/3/21.
