The Center for Student Engagement and Leadership is committed to the holistic development of student leaders by providing services, resources, events, and programs that allow students to deeply engage with each other, their organizations, and the overall GovState campus.

Throughout the year our staff affords students the opportunity to engage, discover and learn, about themselves and the community around them by providing quality and impactful programming

Student Clubs and Organizations

At Governors State University, recognized student clubs and organizations are an integral part of the campus experience, fostering engagement, leadership and community involvement. With more than 40 student clubs and organizations, students have a wide range of opportunities to connect with peers, pursue personal interests and contribute to campus life.

With more than 40 student clubs and organizations at GovState, students have numerous opportunities to connect with peers, expand their interests and enrich their university experience.

Your Jaguar Connection

Jaguar Connection is the university’s online platform for student clubs and organizations and campus engagement. Through Jaguar Connection, students can explore, join and manage clubs/organizations, discover campus events and stay connected with involvement opportunities across the university community.

Jagur Connection provides a convenient and accessible way for students to engage with campus life, explore new interests and enhance their overall university experience.

GovState Honor Societies

At GovState University, academic honor societies recognize students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and leadership. Students are invited to join these organizations based on their strong academic performance within their major or across the university community.

Honor Societies provide students with opportunities to connect with peers, grow professionally and become more involved in academic and leadership experiences on campus. These organizations also reflect the Center for Student Engagement and Leadership’s commitment to celebrating student success and fostering a strong tradition of academic excellence throughout the university community.
