Homecoming 2020 Seminar, Connecting with Compassion During COVID-19
The pandemic has brought
about a great deal of hardship which has contributed to large scale stress,
anxiety, and reactivity. In this time of crisis, we need to come together and
support each other. To do that we need to calm ourselves and connect with our
heart again and again.
In this presentation Dr. Tim
Pedigo, Professor of Psychology at GSU will discuss and lead a compassion
practice that can help to calm our reactive minds and reconnect with each
other.

If I Only Had A Mic? 5 -7 pm via Zoom – You bring the talent, we’ve got the mic! Open Mic Night is open to all acts-poetry, dance, rap, comedy, etc. Special guest host Peace Bell and international touring poet and performance artist, Ebony Stewart will keep the crowd enlightened in between acts. As a caveat, witness our movie-themed Fashion Show during intermission. Register to perform on Jaguar Connection by 10/19/20. Prizes awarded to top performers and contest winners.

Ease on down the yellow-brick road and relive all of the magic of this beloved musical! Dorothy is whisked away to an urban, fantasy land called Oz, where she encounters the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and Cowardly Lion in their quest to return home with the help of the Wiz.
PLEASE NOTE: Movie is FREE for faculty, staff, and students with valid GSU I.D. Free Alumni admission with registration. Social distancing guidelines will be in effect and enforced. Early arrival recommended.
