GSU TV

GSU TV

GSU TV is Governors State University’s student-run television program dedicated to covering news, culture, campus life, and community stories through original media production. As part of Jaguar Student Media and the Center for Community Media, GSU TV provides students with hands-on experience in broadcasting, reporting, production, editing, and digital storytelling within a collaborative and professionally guided environment.

Students participating in GSU TV develop practical media skills while creating content that reflects the voices, experiences, and interests of the GovState community. Through live production, field reporting, interviews, and studio work, students gain experience using professional media equipment and workflows that prepare them for careers in journalism, television, communications, media production, and related creative industries.

GSU TV programming airs regularly on regional broadcast platforms and streaming services, expanding opportunities for student work to reach audiences beyond campus. The program reflects Governors State University’s commitment to accessible storytelling, experiential learning, and community-centered media production.
