Biography
Rasha ElSaheli-Elhage holds a Ph.D. in Educational Evaluation and Research from Wayne State University, an M.A. in Special Education from Eastern Michigan University, and a B.A. in Special Education from Saint Joseph University (International). She brings more than 16 years of experience as a special education teacher, including 11 years in Michigan public schools in Detroit and Dearborn. She has also served as a consultant in school reform and international assessment, working with public and private schools and ministries of education across the Middle East.
Her research focuses on enhancing employment opportunities, independence, and quality of life for young adults with disabilities, with particular emphasis on supporting successful transitions to adulthood, postsecondary education, and meaningful employment.
