Early Action Scholarship Update
The Early Action scholarship opportunity for the Fall 2026 semester has concluded. The next application cycle for Governors State University’s High-Merit Scholarships (Presidential, Provost, and Dean’s Scholarships) will open on September 1, 2026, for students applying for Fall 2027 admission. Prospective students are encouraged to submit their completed application and supporting materials by the upcoming Early Action Deadline to be considered for these scholarship opportunities.
Presidential Scholarships
High-achieving, first-year, students can have their academic achievements rewarded with merit-based scholarships. Presidential Scholarships range from $7,000 annual awards, to full-ride scholarships covering tuition, fees, and housing. These scholarships are limited, so apply today to be considered!
GovState Honors College
The GovState Honors College provides high-achieving students with a curriculum based on high-impact, challenging, and experiential learning - both in and out of the classroom. Honors is not about doing more work but instead is about doing more with the work you are already doing.
