Department of Physical Therapy Mission Statement

The Department of Physical Therapy facilitates an accessible, dynamic learning community of diverse teachers and learners, as well as developing physical therapist practitioners who base decisions on scientific and clinical evidence for their roles as clinicians, leaders, advocates, and teachers. In addition, has committed to promoting social responsibility and contributing to the health, well-being, and economic development of the region.

 

Accreditation

The Illinois Board of Higher Education approved the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in January 2006. The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Universities approved the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in January 2007.
