Update: This issue was resolved 9/4/2026

We've identified a technical issue affecting the Microsoft Education integration within Blackboard. This is currently resulting in significant load delays and active roster synchronization errors.

We have informed both Blackboard and Microsoft to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. In the meantime, to ensure your class sessions proceed without interruption, we recommend the following workaround:

• Create the meeting in the Teams portal: Please navigate directly to the Microsoft Teams portal (outside of Blackboard) to schedule your upcoming class sessions.
• Invite participants directly: When creating the meeting, add your students' email addresses. This will automatically send an invitation to their calendars, ensuring they have the necessary access.
• Share the link in Blackboard: Once the meeting is created, copy the meeting link. Navigate to your Blackboard shell and create a "Weblink" using that URL to provide your students with an easily accessible entry point.
