Faculty Professional Development Committee

Discussion and deliberation of strategies to collectively enhance the teaching, research, and service endeavors of the faculty. A central theme of the meeting was the identification of emerging pedagogical approaches and the dissemination of best practices to foster innovative and engaging classroom experiences. Simultaneously, the committee explored avenues to support research productivity, including potential funding opportunities, collaborative initiatives, and the provision of resources to support faculty in their scholarly pursuits. Finally, discussions touched upon strategies to recognize and support faculty contributions to the broader academic community and the university through their dedicated service.

Includes Unit A faculty members elected and appointed from the colleges and the University Library, as well as Unit A and Unit B faculty at large, serving staggered two-year terms. One member of each constituency must be tenured (Bylaws IX-1A; Standing Rules IV-2; UFS Resolutions 2017-18 #10 and 2020-21 #3). For more information, contact Cheun-Yeong Lee (clee6@govst.edu).
