Housing application for Prairie Place
The 2025-2026 Housing Application is open to current and newly admitted GovState students.
Please review the Important Rules and Regulations and 2025-2026 University Housing Handbook before submitting your housing application to live in Prairie Place.
Students who apply for housing starting at a time other than the start of the fall semester are only contractually obligated to complete the balance of time on the contract they sign and are billed only for the time they live in University Housing.
Below is information that identifies each housing application and their start date:
Spring 2026 Application
November 10, 2025
Spring housing application opens to non-residents on November 10, 2025. Those who successfully complete their application and pay their pre-payment should expect to receive their spring housing assignment by no later than the 2nd week of January 2026 (Spring Move-In is scheduled for January 18, 2026).
Summer 2026 Application
Summer Application will be available on April 2, 2026.
Summer Housing application opens to current residents with academic year only contracts, non-residents, and newly admitted students looking to move on campus for summer 2026.
Fall 2026 Application
The fall application will be available on March 1, 2026.
Fall housing application opens to non-residents on March 1, 2026. Students who already live in housing will have access to this application in February 3, 2026 and will receive an email from GovState Housing.
Room assignments will be sent out in the Summer.
