As a teacher, you lead students towards becoming lifelong learners every day in the classroom. With a certificate in Teacher Leadership, you can expand your impact through school leadership roles that affect more than a single class of students.

Candidates must have their master's degree, Professional Educator License (PEL), and two years of teaching experience

Obtaining a graduate certificate in Teacher Leadership will prepare you to influence student outcomes for many years in any school leadership role you choose to pursue. Candidates will be prepared for school leadership roles such as team leaders, instructional coaches, department chairs, and curriculum directors upon completion.

Program Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited university
  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • 2 years of teaching experience
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.75 to be admitted

Application Materials

  • Official transcript(s) from all previous college work
  • School District Administrator Reference (an automatic email will be sent to this individual)
  • Letter of Work Verification (school administrator or HR letter verifying employment and indicating number of years employed)
  • Screenshot of your Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Letter of Application- expressing interest in the program with supporting reasons
