Veterans Benefit Form Processing

Veterans Benefit Forms to apply your educational benefits are being accepted for the 2023/2024 year.

Veterans Benefit Forms must be completed each term to apply your educational benefits. They are completed via DocuSign, and must be sent to you directly via your GSU student email account. Please contact us at veterans@govst.edu for a copy of the form.

When you open the landing page for the form, you will need to enter your academic advisor’s email address. Please be sure to only enter your academic advisor’s email address when prompted, and not the veterans@govst.edu address as this will result in a misdirection of the form and will prevent it from being processed. If you are not sure what your academic advisor’s email address is, you can find it in the GSU staff directory: https://www.govst.edu/employee-directory/

Veterans Benefit Forms are processed for upcoming academic terms once the current term is concluded.

Your next operational mission is to find purpose forever.
We can help.

Your military experience is invaluable. Whether you are active military, transitioning to civilian life or a dependent or military spouse, continuing your education will ensure your continued success. The Veterans Resource Center at Governors State University is your partner on this journey. We’ve been ranked “Best of the Best” by U.S. Veterans Magazine as a Top Veteran-Friendly School for several years—let’s take a moment to explore why.

Our predominantly military-connected staff is here to help you navigate VA Education Benefits, to offer career planning assistance, and to immerse you in campus life, including cultural events and sports. GSU is also a participating school with Air Force ROTC, and our staff represents military-connected student interests on many regional, statewide and national associations and boards. Plus, your GI Bill® assistance goes far here—up to 100% of your tuition will be covered.;

So, join us. Your next deployment is where you want to be.
