Watermark products are used for various assessment and accreditation purposes at GSU. Different applications are used depending on user role. The following applications are used for the following purposes:

Student Learning & Licensure (formerly known as Via):

Administrators
Assessment coordinators develop key assessments using rubrics based on accreditation standards for students to submit to within their courses. Reports are run based on student achievement for departmental and individual student accreditation reporting.

Faculty
Instructors evaluate key assessment assignments submitted by students against standards sets for departmental and individual student accreditation. Students can see their evaluations, which may or may not be included in grading by instructors.

Students
Students submit work into key assessments for departmental accreditation purposes as well as their own professional certification. Submissions can be directly in the application, or through Blackboard links. Students can also create public-facing web-based portfolios for summative assessments in courses, capstone projects in programs, or for other professional purposes. Portfolios can include assessments.

Outcomes Assessment Projects (formerly known as Aqua):

Administrators
Assessment coordinators develop evaluation projects based on curriculum-based summative assessments using accreditation standards rubrics. These assessments are evaluated by a jury of faculty. Reports are run after the semester based on student achievement and used for departmental accreditation reporting.

Faculty
Instructors in courses chosen by administrators gather student submissions for evaluation against accreditation standards. Student submissions are anonymized. Faculty juries, who may or may not be the instructors of the students submitting work for evaluation, perform evaluations after the semester. Scores are averaged and used for accreditation reporting. Students do not see these evaluations because they are not linked to grades.

Students
Students submit work in classes chosen for evaluation projects. Work is submitted by Blackboard link, or manually gathered by instructors and submitted en masse to assessment coordinators to enter into evaluation projects.

Faculty Success (formerly known as Digital Measures):

Administrators
Workflows are created and scheduled by institution-wide administrators to distribute to employees up for regularly scheduled performance evaluations. Supervisors perform evaluations. Reports can be run by department, program, or across the institution.

Faculty and Staff
Personnel being evaluated submit required documents into workflows and receive feedback from supervisors at scheduled intervals. Personnel can see evaluation reports and generate a CV based on evaluation criteria and personally-contributed data and files.
