Amazon Career Choice Students
GovState is excited to partner with Amazon Career Choice to help you realize your educational goals and succeed in your career — whether you choose to grow your career at Amazon or change careers altogether.
Eligibility
Employees who work in an Illinois Amazon facility are eligible for GovState's Amazon Career Choice programs. Eligible participants can earn up to $5,200 of tuition assistance per year.

Enrollment Requirements
To ensure your acceptance into one of GovState's Amazon Career Choice programs, please make sure to complete the following list of enrollment requirements:
Determine eligibility with Amazon
Schedule a GovState pre-admissions appointment to discuss program options (if needed)
Apply at GovState
Submit documents required for admission
Contact your academic advisor for help with your class schedule
Register online for courses
Pay for your classes with your Amazon voucher and/or financial aid or out of packet
Examples of Undergraduate Course Schedules
Here are some examples of undergraduate course schedules with their total tuition and fee costs after an Amazon voucher is applied:
Scenario I (Voucher Only)
- Summer 2026 - 1 course or 3 credit hours = $1,868
- Fall 2026 - 2 courses or 6 credit hours = $3,233
- Spring 2027 - 1 course or 3 credit hours = $1,868
Total for 4 courses or 12 credit hours = $6,969
Tuition and fee cost after Amazon voucher is $1,769
Scenario II (Vouch Only)
- Fall 2026 - 2 courses or 6 credit hours = $3,233
- Spring 2027 - 2 courses or 6 credit hours = $3,233
Total for 4 courses or 12 credit hours = $6,466
Tuition and fee cost after Amazon voucher is $1,266.
Scenario III
- Fall 2026 - 2 courses or 6 credit hours = $3,233
- Spring 2027 - 2 courses or 6 credit hours = $3,233
- Summer 2027 - 2 courses or 6 credit hours = $3,233
Total for 6 courses or 15 credit hours = $9,699
