• If selected for verification make sure this process is complete.
  • Check your financial aid status by logging in to myGSU regularly to ensure you have no outstanding missing documents. 
  • Verify your contact information with the university through myGSU.
  • Once offered, review the details for each item listed on your Financial Aid.
  • Accept or decline your aid through myGSU.
  • First time borrowers with GSU must sign all required Master Promissory Notes and complete required Entrance Counseling. Note: If you have completed these items at GSU, you do not need to complete them every year. 
  • Complete the Annual Student Loan Acknowledgment.
  • If necessary, submit the Parent PLUS application. If this is a parent's first time borrowing, he or she will need to sign a Master Promissory Note (MPN).

  • Most type of aid are subject to our Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy
  • You cannot receive financial aid in an amount exceeding the cost of attendance. Accepting one type of aid may affect your eligibility to receive another type of aid. 
  • If you earn a degree, leave school or drop below half-time enrollment, the Department of Education requires you to complete Exit Counseling
