Meet Jalen Miller, a proud Governors State University alumnus and standout student-athlete. As a member of the GovState Men’s Basketball team, Jalen helped lead the Jaguars to their first national tournament appearance during the 2017–18 season. He earned CCAC Player of the Year, NAIA All-America Second Team honors, and remains GovState’s all-time leading scorer with 1,490 points.
Jalen earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Entrepreneurship from Governors State University in 2017. Today, Jalen is a Publishing and Licensing Administrator at Warner Music Group, bringing the discipline and leadership he developed as a student-athlete into his professional career.

Interdisciplinary Studies Alumni Event
INLD 10 Year Celebration of Alumni, Faculty and Students
In celebration of its 10th year of creating educational and non-profit leaders, the Interdisciplinary Leadership Doctorate (INLD) Program at GovState hosted a 3-day event on March 3-5, 2022. During the three days, they held a research symposium to support graduate students, hosted an alumni, student, and faculty networking event where the GovState community was able to meet connect and engage with the full INLD community, and organized a program meeting where alumni offered professional and academic insight to current students, and faculty provided additional support and guidance to current students as they matriculate through the program.
