Tau Sigma "Eat & Meet" Transfer Student Social

Learn what it means to be a member of a prestigious national honor society specifically for transfer students!  Already a member?  Stop by to get last minute tips for submitting your Tau Sigma Scholarship Essay due on November 5th.

Meet GSU academic advisors, faculty and staff from the over 34 undergraduate majors and 42 minors.  Open to current GSU students; all student attendees will be placed in a drawing to win a $100 GSU Bookstore scholarship.  Register here!

University Honors for Transfer Students

Learn about the criteria to graduate with University Honors after transferring to GSU, as well as opportunities to engage with the GSU Honors College even before transferring!  Participants will also hear about opportunities for undergraduate research and presenting at regional and national conferences.  Current community college and Governors State University students welcome.

Transfer Thursday - Instant Admissions Day

9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  //  Office of Admissions

At Transfer Thursday you can speak with an admission counselor, discuss next steps, and learn about campus resources in a one-stop-shop setting.  Be sure to bring sealed official transcript(s), complete an admission application, and get your admission decision all in the same day!  Visit the Instant Admissions website for more information.
 

Tau Sigma Honor Society Volunteer Day

12:00 - 2:00 p.m.  //  Marley Oaks Assisted Living Residence, Mokena, IL

All students are welcome to join members of GSU's chapter of Tau Sigma (National Honor Society for Transfer Students) for a day of games and activities with senior residence at Marley Oaks in Mokena, IL.  Register here!

Dual Degree Program Welcome Cording Ceremony

Dual Degree Program (DDP) students who transferred to Governors State University in the Spring/Summer/Fall 2023 will be honored at a cording ceremony to acknowledge the completion of their associate degree and successful transfer to GSU. Contact dualdegree@govst.edu for more information.

Distinguished Alumni Reception

Dual Degree Program Volunteer Day

1:00 - 3:00 p.m.  //  Thorn Creek Woods & Nature Preserve, Park Forest, IL

The Dual Degree Program will be assisting Thorn Creek Nature Preserve with their fall Prairie Sampler and Trail Workday! We will be repairing trails and nurturing the prairie sampler and butterfly gardens.  Open to all GSU and community college students.  Register Here!
