MONDAY, October 21

Tau Sigma Honor Society - "Nacho" Average Transfer Student Social

11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.  //  Hall of Honors

Learn what it means to be a member of a prestigious national honor society specifically for transfer students!  Already a member?  Stop by to learn more about this year's national scholarship competition and upcoming chapter events.  Contact tausigma@govst.edu for more information!

   

Ghana Public Health Brigade - Info Session

Travel with GovState to Ghana, West Africa, in June 2025!  Session will cover essential details about the trip (June  23 - July 15, 2025) including key deadlines, cost, itinerary highlights, and scholarship opportunities.  Hosted by the Office of International Services and College of Health & Human Services faculty (Dr. Nicole Bing and Dr. Lisa Pennington).  Open to all students!

Study Abroad in Rome - Info Session

WEDNESDAY, October 23

Transferring into the GovState Honors College

3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.  //  D1496 (classroom next to GovState Bookstore)  

Learn about the criteria to graduate with University Honors at GovState and get the chance to ask current Honors College students questions about their experience!  Participants will also hear about opportunities for undergraduate research and presenting at regional and national conferences.  Current community college and Governors State University students welcome.

 

THURSDAY, October 24

Transfer Thursday - Instant Admissions Day

9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  //  Office of Admissions

At Transfer Thursday you can speak with an admission counselor, discuss next steps, and learn about campus resources in a one-stop-shop setting.  Be sure to bring sealed official transcript(s), complete an admission application, and get your admission decision all in the same day!  Register for a specific time here or visit the Instant Admissions website for more information.

 

FRIDAY, October 25

All Alumni Reception

5:00 - 8:00 p.m.  //  E-Lounge

Network with those that have been in your shoes!  Enjoy live music, refreshments, and good company this Fall on GovState's beautiful campus.  Event is free but registration is required.  Visit the All Alumni Reception RSVP link to attend!
