BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Kochan is an Associate Professor of Finance at Governors State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of North Texas. His research spans financial markets, banking, corporate finance decisions, and international trade, with a focus on risk, performance, and global economic trends, particularly the influence of market disruptions on both traditional and digital assets. He contributes actively to the scholarly community through publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national and international conferences.
In addition to his research, he is dedicated to teaching and mentoring students. He has taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Principles of Financial Management, Advanced Corporate Finance, Investments, and graduate level Financial Management. Through both research and teaching, he aims to prepare students to navigate an evolving global financial landscape.
