BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Chevonne Alston is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Governors State University. She holds a Ph.D. in Accountancy from the University of Mississippi's Patterson School of Accountancy, as well as a B.S. in Management and an MBA in Accounting from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University's School of Business & Industry. She was excited to receive the Outstanding Dissertation award from the AAA Government & Nonprofit (GNP) section at the 2021 annual meeting. Chevonne was selected to participate in the Institute of Management Accountant’s ( IMA’s) DEI Leadership experience. Chevonne remains active with IMA and the Illinois Certified Public Accountants.
