FACULTY PROFILE

Professor Wagner's journey at GSU began in 2003 as a student. At GSU, Professor Wagner earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a certification in middle school teaching. Later, Professor Wagner returned to GSU for her master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2013. As the first to graduate college in her family, this was and still is very exciting!

Professor Wagner worked in the local school districts as an educator teaching 1st through 4th grade for 18 years. She decided to return to school and is attending National University (formerly known as North Central University) and is in her doctoral program and plans to finish her dissertation in 2024.

Professor Wagner began her transition to higher education by taking an adjunct position at Chicago State University and then GSU. She is very excited to join the GSU faculty this year as a full-time lecturer! She is back where it all started!
