Research Opportunities
The Honors College provides multiple opportunities for Honors College students to showcase their work! Some of these conferences are at local, regional, or national levels.
Honors Council of the Illinois Region
This research conference consists of various research projects completed by honors college students of other institutions statewide. We welcome all levels of research, freshman through senior levels. This conference is highly recommended for any freshmen or sophomore. The HCIR Symposium occurs in February annually.
NCHC
The National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC) Conference provides Honors College students an opportunity to present his or her research at the national level.
The NCHC is a nationwide conference of research amongst other honors college students throughout the U.S. We recommend this conference for any current sophomore or junior. This can be an individual submission or a group submission ranging from oral research, presentations, posters, or full panels. NCHC occurs in November annually.
GSU Research Day
GSU Research Day is a campus wide event open to all currently enrolled GSU students. Undergraduate research must include a faculty sponsor. Please contact Dr. Rhea or faculty in your program for more information about a potential submission. GSU Research Day occurs every April annually.
