An internship gives you an opportunity to gain practical experience and/or earn credit hours toward your degree.

An internship allows you access to the professional world before you've completed your academic studies. In selected disciplines, you can earn credit hours by working in a field related to your academic program.

On-the-job experiences and the effective use of skills learned in class instruction are elements of a successful internship.

Internships:
- are cooperative efforts between organizations and the university
- enrich and enhance students' academic experience
- are offered by employers in conjunction with the Office of Career Services and supervised by employers

http://www.internships.com/student - Internships.com, a Chegg service, is the world’s largest student-focused internship marketplace, bringing students, employers and higher education institutions together in one place. Students can access over thousands of internships and entry-level jobs all over the country for free.

https://roomiapp.com/ - We specialize in student internship housing. There are so many services out there that focus on helping students find jobs and internships, but very few that help them find a place to live during their job or internship. Some ways we are able to help students is:

  • Secure Marketplace - we background check and ID verify our users and verify all listings
  • Social Media Integration - users link their Facebook and Linkedin accounts to their profile, which allows them to find connections or common interests with other users
  • Short Term Flexibility - users don't need to sign a year long lease, just book a room for the duration that you need it
  • Safe Payments - Roomi helps to facilitate payments so that both the mover and the lister feel comfortable with the transaction
