The Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness (IR) at Governors State University is the official source for data regarding GSU. It supports administrative planning and decision-making by providing accurate and timely data and, when necessary, providing information through the design and execution of experiments and surveys where the necessary data do not already exist.
The IR office responds to requests from outside entities, from members of the general public, and from accrediting bodies. It also responds to internal requests for information from students, faculty and staff. In addition, the office is charged with federal and state compliance reporting.
