GSU’s Intellectual Life Committee will host an interactive discussion exploring how early life experiences shape adult relationships. This discussion is based on the short story “Nettles,” by Alice Munro, who recently won the Nobel Prize for Literature. The story is from Munro’s book, “Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage,” which is the “One Book One University” selection for spring.

The event will be held in the Hall of Honors on Feb. 13, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. It will be facilitated by counseling program faculty Dr. Patricia Robey, Dr. Rebecca Michel, Dr. Sonya Lorelle and doctoral student, Ms. Mary McClure. It is open to all GSU students and faculty.

The Intellectual Life Committee is underwriting the majority of the cost of this book to students, making it available to them for $5. If you wish to pick up a copy, please contact Dean Lydia Morrow Ruetten, or stop in room D2419 in the library. Two copies of this book are on reserve in the library and copies of this book are also available in the book store.
