Dr. Matthew Cooney joined the college of education as an assistant professor of education in fall 2017 in the Interdisciplinary Leadership Doctoral Program. He has worked in higher education since 2009 in a variety of capacities including student affairs, academic affairs, and institutional effectiveness. Dr. Cooney’s research focuses on leadership development of community college administrators, college student leadership development, and utilization of appreciative perspectives in higher education.
