Take Five Fest
During these challenging times, your Center for Performing Arts remains committed to connecting audiences with diverse artists.
We are seeking original, short, digital performances that showcase authentic voices and diverse stories that connect, activate, and inspire our community.
Art from all disciplines will be considered: stand-up comedy, monologues, short scenes, dance, music, and more! We want any and all digital performance pieces that are five minutes in length or less.
The goal of the Take Five Fest is to provide artists—of every discipline or artistic goal—with a platform for sharing work and connecting with audiences.
Submissions close on October 30, 2020 at 5:00pm CDT. Artists will be notified of their acceptance status by November 9, 2020.
Requirements for Acceptance of Projects
• Accepted projects will be reviewed, curated, and promoted by the Center for Performing Arts staff and GSU faculty members.
• We will only consider submissions of original pieces.
• Pieces must be no longer than five minutes.
• Projects should be fully developed but we may consider select projects that are in development.
All work will be streamed publicly on Center for Performing Arts social media platforms December 4-6 and will live on our website in perpetuity. Select works may be previewed as part of the Center’s Virtual Season Launch Party on October 10, 2020.
