TRIO
TRIO programs offer educational opportunity for low-income, first generation and disabled Americans. These programs are funded under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965.
TRIO programs
- prepare students for college level coursework
- provide information on academic and financial aid opportunities
- offer tutoring and support services to students once they reach campus to ensure college retention and graduation
Upward Bound
GSU offers two effective Upward Bound programs, which prepare high school students for higher education.
- Greater Success 4U (GS4U) Upward Bound
- Excellence in College Education and Leadership (Excel) Upward Bound
ACESSS
ACESSS provides support services for undergraduate college students that encourage student retention, graduation, and post graduate study.
