Student Employment/Work Study

On-Campus Student Employment

As with any job search, there are positions available, but the skill levels and schedule may not match with your experience and availability.  The Office of Career Services will assist you in your search for an on-campus federal work study or regular student employment position.  We do not guarantee that an on-campus department will hire you.

Applying for Federal Work-Study Jobs

You may apply for federal work study jobs once you have completed your FAFSA and have been offered a “Federal Work Study Award.”  These federal work study jobs are posted on the Office of Career Services' Experience.com website.  You may request a username and password to access the Experience.com website by sending an email to career@govst.edu. You will be sent a username and a password to the Experience.com website within 24-48 hours.

Applying for Regular Student Employment Jobs

In order to log into the system, complete an application profile, and search for regular student employment, please send an email to the Office of Career Services requesting an Experience.com username and password.  You may send the email to career@govst.edu.  The Office of Career Services will send you a username and a password to the Experience.com website within 24-48 hours.

In addition to on-campus employment, there are also off-campus jobs that students may apply for.  More information is available in the Office of Career Services.  The Office of Career Services allows you to upload your resume, cover letter and other documents, search for off-campus full-time and part-time employment or off-campus internships through the GSU on-line Experience.com website.  Students must register with the Office of Career Services for a username and password in order to utilize the system.
