Winter Course Info Available Online
Attention Governors State University Students:
Classrooms have already been assigned to all courses offered in Winter 2009.
Please check the online Winter 2009 schedule to find out where your courses will be held.
If you are unable to access this information off campus, you can view your schedule, check your room assignments, and/or print out your schedule using the computers outside of the Registrar’s Office during the first week of the Winter term.

Registration Reminders
Farewell Touchtone Registration
The Fall 2008 registration period is the last time that the Touchtone registration system will be used at Governors State University. All future registration will need to be completed online. Please keep this in mind when planning to register for future terms.
Eligibility
The following students (who have no outstanding financial, academic or administrative holds) are eligible to register:
- Newly Admitted
- Readmitted
- Active Continuing Students

- Only degree-seeking students are eligible to register during the first week of registration.
- Students who are closer to graduation, based on the number of credits earned at GSU, have first registration priority.
- Newly admitted and readmitted degree-seeking students, non-degree, and undeclared students may register during the subsequent week of registration.
- Students may register during their assigned time or at any subsequent time during the registration period. Early registration is encouraged for if you wait until the last minute, a class may be closed, or in some cases, cancelled due to low enrollment.

Student Responsibilities
- Students are responsible for paying tuition and fees by the payment deadline. Students who do not complete the registration process by the payment deadline will be dropped from all classes.

- Students are responsible for dropping courses registered in error.
- Students may not register for courses without meeting the course requirements (e.g. prerequisites). The registration systems do not check for prerequisites.
- Degree-seeking students should select courses based upon their approved Study Plan.
- Students should contact their advisor for assistance in securing authorization to enroll in permission courses, carry an overload (more than 16 hours in Block 1, or more than 9 hours in Block 2 or 3), or for undergraduates, to enroll in 600 or 700 level courses in the last term of their undergraduate program.
- Continuing students who have not registered for more than 3 consecutive trimesters must contact their advisor to have their status reactivated prior to registration. Students who have not attended in more than 5 years (15 trimesters) must reapply for admission.
