The mission of the Office of the Provost is to provide leadership to the academic wing in all its activities in such a manner as to maintain quality, accessibility, and cultural diversity. The four academic colleges and the University Library report to the Provost. The Provost meets regularly with the president, vice presidents, deans and faculty to accomplish its mission.
Responsibilities of the Provost's Office include negotiation and management of the faculty contract, representation of the academic wing to the Board of Trustees, support staff to the Academic Program and Policy Committee of the Board, development of University policies, and management of the program review process.
