Thank you for your interest in being a part of the New Student Programs team! Please familiarize yourself with the position you are applying for and make sure you thoroughly follow the application instructions in order to be considered for an interview. Applicants can apply for the Peer Mentor Position using this online application. The application process includes attending a mandatory information session, completing an application packet, reference checks, participating in a group interview, and having an individual interview.
  
Application materials are due by July 8, 2019. Late materials will not be accepted.

 

The position is for Fall and Spring 2019-2020. 
 
The final decision notification will be by July 31, 2019 and training for this position starts on August 1, 2019.

Information Session
To be eligible to apply for the ROAR (Orientation) Leader or Peer Mentor position, every candidate must attend one of the mandatory information sessions. Information session details and dates are listed below. 
 
Application Packet
A completed application packet includes a completed online application, professional resume, and (3) references.

Resumes must be emailed to fye@govst.edu or dropped off at B1215 by February 8, 2019 in order for your application to be considered complete. You are welcome to complete this online application before you submit your resume. Your resume must be professional. For assistance with writing your resume, please contact GSU Career Services at 708.235.3974 or career@govst.edu.

You will be asked to provide contact information (name, organization, email address, phone number) for your references at the end of this online application. Please have all reference information available before you begin this application. At least two of the three references must be from GSU faculty or staff. References will be contacted.
 
Group Process & Individual Interview
