    Awarded "Notable Book of the Year by the New York Times in 2003, Jacqueline Winspear's Maisie Dobbs introduces a series of successful mystery books. The protagonist, Maisie, served as a battlefield nurse in World War I. This narrative describes some of the hardships, both physical and emotional, endured by nurses during the war.   • April 3, 2007 “Eisenheim the Illusionist,” a short story by Steven Millhauser in his book, The Barnum Museum: Stories was the topic of the group discussion. The discussion was led by Diane Dates Casey and Becky Nugent. The book can be purchased on Amazon.com or be ordered at Borders. This short story is the basis for the recent movie, The Illusionist.
