Wireless Access

Governors State University is currently working to provide campus wide wireless access. Wireless computer access is currently available in the cafeteria, cafeteria atrium, the Hall of Governors, the Library, and some areas of the Faculty Office Center. Strong wireless signals are often available in the hallways outside of technology enhanced classrooms. Protocols 802.11a/b/g are supported.

The University Library provides laptop computing facilities. Students with personal laptop computers and wireless cards can access the Internet in the public areas of the library. The Library provides laptop tables with wired electricity and Internet connections. Also, laptop computers are available for check-out to use within the Library. Ask about laptop loan services at the Circulation Desk.

For wireless assistance, use the black Helpdesk phone located on the wall in the Cyber Café, or call the Helpdesk directly at 708.534.HELP (4357).
