Student E-mail
Beginning in Fall 2011, students will have access to new LIVE@edu e-mail accounts. New features include additional file storage space and access to web versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and One Note.
Accessing Your E-mail:
The myGSU portal provides access to your university issued e-mail account.
The first time that you login to your e-mail, you will need to setup your account preferences. Simply choose the langauge and time zone for your account. Hint: Scroll up to find the US Central Time Zone.
- Login to my GSU at http://mygovst.govst.edu.
- Access your e-mail account by clicking on the “You have # unread messages” link just above and to the left of the ATTENTION FIRST TIME USERS statement. You will be redirected into the e-mail setup options.
- If you recieve a message that requests a LIVE login, enter your user information as follows:
Username: myGSU login username followed by @student.govst.edu (e.g. jdoe@student.govst.edu)
Password: myGSU password

iMail
iMail accounts will remain active through the Fall 2011 semester. Continue to use http://mail.govst.edu to access your iMail account. Username and password remain the same, i.e. your GSU ID number and PIN. You can setup your iMail account to forward new incoming messages to another account. Messages and files that are already in the account must be forwarded manually. Follow the directions on the iMail FAQ to forward your new messages.
