Honors Program Shirts
Lead by honors students, we will be selling honors shirts throughout the semester for only $5.00 (CASH ONLY). Your funds will help support future honors program iniatives and purchasing of additional shirts. We will be holding an honors shirt sale this month!

Center for Performing Arts / Theatre & Performing Arts Night
Every semester, honors students come together to watch the latest performance put on by CPA/TAP. For Spring 2018, Honors Faculty Dr. Patrick Santoro directs for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf. An optional event, we encourage students to attend with tickets only being $10! Please click here to learn more about the show/performance.
Honors Program 18th Annual Banquet
Every year, the GSU Honors Program celebrates its accomplishments, recognized by faculty, staff, students, and administration. This festive event truly spotlights our honors graduates. 2018 will also mark a milestone to recognize our first honors 4-year cohort that will walk the stage at commencement in 2018. Please see details below (open to all current honors students ONLY).

Honors Program Fair Day
Interested in joining the honors program, but not sure what it’s about? Are you a current honors student, but not sure you’re on the right track to complete the honors curriculum? This event is for all current and prospective honors student. Get a crash course on what we do, honors initiatives, and how you can become proactive in the honors program.

HCIR Spring Symposium
The 2018 Honors Council of the Illinois Region (HCIR) Symposium will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Eastern Illinois University (600 Lincoln Ave, Charleston, IL).
The purpose of the HCIR Student Symposium allows individuals to share their scholarly work among other students, colleagues, and professionals of neighboring Illinois colleges and universities. If you are currently working on a research project or have one you would like to share, this conference will be a great opportunity! This will benefit any student of all academic majors/disciplines where research work is present.
If you are interested in presenting, please reach out to Dr. Rhea by Friday, January 26th. All final materials including presentation will be due after two weeks on Friday, February 9th. For further information or questions please email Honors Program Director at firstname.lastname@example.org
Study Abroad in Rome!
The deadline to the Honors Abroad Program has been extended to February 1st, 2018 (previously December 1st last year). There's more time for you to apply! By February 1st, a completed study abroad application and $500 down payment/deposit is required.
