Co-Investigators: Dr. Gerri Outlaw and Cynthia Carr, MS, OTR/L
Abstract
Community-based focus groups, comprised of five to eight African American adult women, will explore the knowledge, awareness, and attitudes pertaining to the increased prevalence of HIV and AIDS in the African American community.
Open-ended qualitative inquiry will explore the social constructs surrounding the topics of sex, HIV, and AIDS to develop a model of prevention and education.
