Investing in GSU's Future
The Governors State University Foundation serves as the University's primary fundraising and gift-receiving division. Officaially incorporated as a not-for-profit organization, the GSU foundation identifies and solicits sources of private funding on behalf of the university.To provide supplemental funds for scholarships, strategic initiatives and programs that are not supported by state funds, the GSU Foundation asks for donations from friends, alumni, employees, foundations, philanthropists, organizations and corporations. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization; donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.

| The GSU Promise | The GSU Promise is a commitment to provide scholarships to qualified graduates from Illinois community colleges with the opportunity to earn a baccalaureate degree debt-free. The promise will supplement student grants and state assisted tuition. |
| The Greater University Fund | Strategic initiatives of GSU to achieve organizational excellence. |
| Other Giving Options | Contributions can be earmarked to support other areas throughout the university. See drop down box below for the list of other giving options. |
