Login Help
Access to online courses opens on the first day of classes in the Trimester.
Classes are not available before the first day of the trimester, even if you have
registered earlier.
To access a course offered this trimester:
- Click on the Login button on the GSU Online Homepage.
- Enter your WebCT ID - This is the 4-6-digit Student ID number
issued at registration.
- Enter your Password - This is the 4 digit PIN you used for registering
for the course.
- Click "Log in" button.
- You will arrive at the MyWebCT page. Click on the title of the course
to access your course materials.
If your login does not seem to be working, be sure that the caps lock is not on.
Avoid entering any extra characters or spaces in your user name or password.
If you try to login, and you are returned to the login page, you may have a Java
problem. Download and install the latest version of JAVA. You should remove
also any previous versions of Java.

To access a previous course
If you have an incomplete or need to access previous material: WebCT courses from
the two previous trimesters will be available on your MyWebCT page.
Simply click the title hyperlink to access.
Some instructors may opt to deny student access after a certain date. If you get
an "access denied" message when you click the hyperlink to your course, you will
need to contact your instructor for permission to access the course.
Forgot your WebCT ID?
Fill out the form at GSU Library; you will receive a response by email as soon as
possible. You can also phone the Library Reference Desk: 708-534-4111, during
regular business hours. Ask the Librarian for your "WebCT ID," which is the same
as your GSU iMail login.

Note: There are a few courses that are using a book publisher's course material.
If your course is one of those, you will be purchasing a special textbook with a
PIN to use for your first login. Contact your instructor if you are not sure.
