Taking an Assessment

How do I use the assessment tool?

  1. Click on the Assessments Menu Option to open the assessments window.
     
  2. Locate and click on the quiz hyperlink.

  3. Click the Begin Assessment Button.

Tips on Completing an Assessment Successfully

  1. Save each answer as you progress through the quiz.
  2. Save every few minutes, when typing in an essay question answer.
  3. Click Save All.
  4. Click Finish to Submit.

Having problems taking an assessment?

  1. I can’t open an assessment.

    Solution: Check with your instructor to verify the scheduled
    release date of the quiz.

  2. Submitting my Assessment failed.
    (The 'Quiz or the WebCT connection' has timed out.)

    Solution 1: Check the amount of time you have for each quiz before starting.

    Solution 2: Click Save, after answering each question.
    Click Save, intermittently as you answer an essay question.

    Tip: You can always change and resave answers before submitting the quiz.
    Save frequently!

  3. I lost my connection to WebCT while taking an assessment.

    Solution 1: Log back into the course and restart your quiz

    Solution 2: If you can't restart your quiz Contact your Instructor.
