The mission of the Journal of Research in Education (JRE) is to provide a forum for sharing scholarship among researchers and practitioners in education. The journal encourages the submission of theoretical, empirical, and methodological manuscripts within the interest areas represented by the divisions of the Eastern Educational Research Association (EERA). Each issue consists of 10 to 12 major articles. Shorter articles (Research in Brief or Responses and Reflutations) are also solicited.

All submissions should follow the guidelines set forth in the most recent edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association as to content, organization, and style. Each manuscript will be reviewed according to the following criteria:

1. Logical coherence

2. Rigor of methodology or research design

3. Clarity of writing

4. Scholarship

5. Contribution to theory

6. Significance of the issue.

The Editor will send printer page proofs of acceptable manuscripts to contributors for final proofing. We will permit only changes attributable to print error. Additional changes will be at the expense of the author.
