Welcome to the School of Extended Learning at Governors State University- the place to finish what you have started.
Governors State University is committed to providing opportunities for access to all populations, increasing access to place-bound students, and providing flexible scheduling for the busy adult learner that is balancing career goals with educational goals.
The School of Extended Learning staff, in collaboration with the academic colleges at Governors State University, provides access to education for the residents of the region. Our top priority is to serve the students of GSU. Classes are scheduled at convenient times to meet the needs of the diverse student community and are offered through a variety of formats. Classes are offered at off-campus sites regionally to support and provide opportunities for GSU students to live and learn in their community.

If you are not currently a GSU student but wish to take an Extended Learning course, you may complete an Extension Registration Form to register. Please note payment must accompany the form. You may not use this form to register for courses that are not Extended Learning courses.
School of Interdisciplinary Learning
Earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies can be convenient and possible! You can work at your own pace in your own way, to earn a bachelor's degree while maintaining your normal life. The IDSS Degree Program is flexible enough to fit most lifestyles and the staff are accessible and friendly. The degree requirements allow you to create an academic map that will take you to your career or personal goal.
