Dual Degree Program
Achieve Success by Dual Degrees
The Dual Degree Program (DDP) is a unique partnership between Governors State University and participating community colleges.
The DDP provides an excellent opportunity for full-time students who want to earn quality, affordable, associate and bachelor's degrees close to home.
DDP students complete their associate degree at their community college and then transfer seamlessly to GSU to complete their bachelor's degree—earning both degrees within four years.
DDP students benefit from:
- Guaranteed admission to GSU.
- Locked-in GSU tuition rate for four years, starting in the term of DDP enrollment at their community college.
- Eligibility for GSU Promise and DDP Honors scholarships. Pell-eligible DDP students can compete for 50 GSU Promise scholarships; high achieving DDP students who are not Pell-eligible can compete for 13 DDP Honors scholarships. These scholarships will allow recipients to complete their bachelor's degree at GSU—DEBT FREE!
- Counseling and advising from GSU and their respective community colleges to ensure proper course selection and transferability.
