Systematically identify objectives and activities for sustainable unit-level activities to maintain existing revenue streams to the extent possible and to develop new revenue sources.

 

 

 

Continue marketing & licensing of GSU produced courseware nationally, tracking trends and developing strategies appropriate to the changing educational market. 

Maintain and expand distribution of PRIDE Digital Curriculum for training Foster Parents:

Re-license Ontario & Saskatchewan

Expand distribution and use in Illinois

Secure contracts in more states and Canadian provinces,

Seek new opportunities for contract productions or partnerships to compensate for the decline in income from American Psychological Association.    Leverage the combination of award winning production talent with top quality HD broadcast production facilities.

Continually assess income potential of all alternatives and make sure we select production activities which have potential for revenue generation.

Continually assess our marketing/distribution strategies, identify emerging trends in higher education and formulate strategies that can increase our income from sale and licensing of courseware.

Explore possibilities of corporate or external grant/foundation funding to support programming tracks on the broadcast channel and Internet possibly based on the PBS model.

Meet at least once a year with Foundation to explore possibilities and generate action plans.

Provide Media support for Institutional Advancement Initiatives to increase their impact and success.

 

Take proactive steps to meet with Office of Institutional Advancement to determine how various DLMD departments, especially graphics and production can support and enhance advancement activities.

Continuous process -to be formally evaluated annually

Assessment to be done by evaluating final plans worked out in conjunction with the Development Office.  Further evaluation includes meeting revenue targets and other measures of effectiveness.

Assist other academic units to generate more/larger grants by using our expertise to include media and web based components to projects.

Advertise these services on our website, and list with faculty resources.  Include information in faculty development programs.

Provide Graphic Design support for university marketing initiatives and other needs.

Currently handle approximately 800 requests from OPA per year.  Each is reviewed for its own purpose.
