GSU will install Blackboard Service Pack 9 (SP9) in December 2012. All courses currently on the Blackboard server will be converted to the new look and include SP 9 features. When you login to Blackboard, you will notice differences in the appearance of the Blackboard interface, as well as some new features. You will find, however, that the software functions much the same as the current version.

The new look and feel of SP9
- Non-visible editing buttons
Blackboard SP9 has a sleeker interface, without visible editing buttons. Only when you mouse-over a link will the chevron appear that allows you to select drop-down menu options.
- Course themes are now available, to provide a more visually-engaging student experience
- Direct Course-to-course Navigation
Instructors can move from one course immediately into another course. If you are grading discussions in one section, you can move from that section directly into another course’s grading discussions area via the course-to-course navigation button. Watch the video!
- Hide and Show Course function
The Hide and Show course tabs are visible only on rollover.
