Conditional Continuation in a Program

The faculty may permit candidates to continue in programs conditionally.  In such cases, faculty review of candidate records has identified evidence that he/she will likely be successful in the program following a period of remediation or work under special guidance of some type that will help to assure that deficiencies are successfully addressed before proceeding.  The candidate is informed in writing of the conditions necessary for him/her to return to good standing status.  The status of each candidate working under special conditions is reviewed by the program's faculty each trimester.  Once all conditions are met, the candidate will be informed in writing of his or her successful return to good standing status.  A candidate may not be admitted to student teaching  or other capstone experiences without being in good standing status.

Contact your advisor or the coordinator of your program if you would like additional information or guidance regarding conditional continuation.
