The Metropolitan Institute for Leadership in Education (MILE), a center for excellence in the College of Education at Governors State University, is committed to serving as a valued and trusted resource for those responsible for leading our public schools. MILE's annual offerings include new and relevant programs to meet the needs of senior school leaders such as superintendents, principals, and school board members.
MILE's mission is to be a collaborator on matters related to school leadership and encourages leaders to suggest ways in which MILE can better meet their continuing professional development needs and interests. All MILE events are open to those interested in leading public schools to excellence.
MILE is an entity in the Governors State University College of Education, reporting to the Dean.
