The Master of Arts in Education program faculty has identified decision points at which each candidate's performance is assessed to determine if appropriate knowledge, skills, and dispositions are evident in candidate work. These decision points are referred to as gateways. Positive faculty recommendation is required at each gateway in order for candidates to proceed toward program completion. The program's Student Progress Committee is responsible for all gateway assessments:
At each of the gateways listed immediately above (except "Approval for graduation"), the faculty may permit a candidate, under special circumstances, to continue conditionally in the program. Click here to find out about conditional continuation in the program.
